Peneliti pertanian tropis dan salah satu pelopor mixed farming yang mengabdikan hampir seluruh hidupnya di desa ini, sekitar tahun 2000 berhasil menemukan varietas kedelai baru yang memiliki produktifitas yang tinggi, mencapai 3,4 ton per hektar (salah satu yang tertinggi di daerah tropis secara internasional ), dibandingkan rata- rata nasional yang hanya 1,3 ton per hektar.

Kedelai ini memiliki ukuran besar, protein yang tinggi (43,9 %), umur yang pendek (72 hari), dan memiliki kemampuan adaptasi yang baik di daerah tropis bila ditanam dengan best practice yang beliau kembangkan. Hasil pemurnian bertahun- tahun dalam keadaan yang terkontrol, pada akhirnya menghasilkan dua varietas kedelai unggul, yang pertama telah diserahkan kepada pemerintah daerah dan di daftarkan menjadi benih kedelai unggul nasional dengan nama Kedelai Grobogan, sedang varietas yang lain belum didaftarkan.

Selain kedelai, beliau juga menemukan konsep sumur resapan komunal untuk memanen air hujan di lahan persawahan serta metode optimalisasi tanaman subtropis di daerah tropis seperti ketela pohon, jagung, dan kedelai.
